When you think about Kalamazoo’s Do Dah Parade, you immediately think of fun times, joyful laughter, and tongue in cheek wit. It’s a time to let your hair down and be silly and celebrate with the community. That sounds just like Canadiana Fest, for sure, eh?
This year’s parade is on Saturday, June 8. The theme is “Board Games” and what better than a Chess Board? Team Canadiana Fest is creating a whole Canuck chess set of characters from the Queen of Canada and the King of the Forest (Kalam A. Moose) to Mountie knights, Lumberjack bishops, Beaver rooks, and a Red Green Brigade as pawns! We’ll have Canadian music blasting from our float so bring your dancing shoes. We’ll also be handing out buttons with our Polli Poutine mascot attached to discount codes for our tickets, which go on sale June 1. For the month of June all adult tickets are only $10! As always kids are free and students to age 21 are only $5
